Yellow School Buses

  • Cincinnati Public Schools' elementary and some middle school students are transported to and from schools primarily on yellow buses. CPS contracts pupil transportation services through multiple vendors, including First Student, Universal Transportation Systems, Petermann, EverDriven, and Kemper Shuttles, all of which own the vehicles and hire the drivers and attendants.

To speed up the process, CPS has automated the request for Alternative Stop Request and Deviated Childcare Request Form. Please click on the button below to submit electronically.

    Yellow Bus Delays

Cincinnati Public Schools notifies parents by automatic calls when yellow buses are 15 minutes or more behind schedule.

(The Transportation Department can only communicate with parents/guardians through the phone number and email stored in the electronic database associated with your student, which is typically Powerschool)

Please make sure CPS has your correct phone numbers. Parents may list up to 3 phone numbers (home, work & cell) in PowerSchool.

    • Update phone numbers with the office staff at your child’s school.
    • Or, sign up for PowerSchool to update your phone numbers and take advantage of all that PowerSchool offers: see your child’s grades, assignments, attendance and more. Sign up for PowerSchool here.
