Construction Technology

  • This program, offered at Woodward Career Technical High School, provides students with an introduction to the construction field. Students apply architectural and engineering principles to erect residential, commercial and industrial buildings. In the process, they learn how to read construction drawings, use hand and power tools, use personal protective equipment and much more. The skills they gain can be applied to constructing footings and foundations; framing floors, walls, ceilings, roofs and stairs; completing exterior and interior finishes; and repairing, restoring or remodeling existing structures.
