Applying to CPS High Schools — In District and Out of District

Non-CPS Students — In District
Students who live within CPS' district boundaries and who now do not attend Cincinnati Public Schools (attending private or charter schools, or are home-schooled) are welcome to apply to enter CPS' high schools.
Parents of non-CPS students in grades 6-8 who live within the boundaries of the Cincinnati Public School District and are interested in their children entering CPS high schools are required to come to the Customer Care Center in the CPS Education Center. Parents are required to provide parent identification, student birth certificate and student's current report card.

Parents must also provide current proof of address (current lease or mortgage agreement, or current gas & electric or water bill, or letter from a government agency dated within the past 30 days).
Parents of non-CPS students in grades 9-11 who live within the boundaries of the Cincinnati Public School District and are interested in their children entering CPS high schools should go to the high schools they select and submit paper applications. Upper grades are not part of the online high school lottery application process.
Non-CPS Students — Out of District (Open Enrollment)
Students who live outside the boundaries of the Cincinnati Public School District apply to CPS high schools during the district’s Open Enrollment period.
