After-school programs and extracurricular activities provide a richer environment to help students learn and grow. At Cheviot Elementary, students have access to a variety of programs and activities to explore their interests.

Programs
Men Organized Respectful and Educated (M.O.R.E.)
M.O.R.E. is an after-school group for boys in grades 4-6 that is designed to strategically support and promote measurable improvements in academic achievement, promotion rates, graduation rates, and college readiness, with an emphasis on developing strong character. The content of M.O.R.E. consists of Academic Support, Social Skills Development, College & Career Awareness, Financial Literacy, and Health & Wellness.

Clubs
Art Club
Our students can explore creativity through our Art Club.
Band
Instrumental music is alive and well at Cheviot for fifth and sixth grades. Instruction happens during special periods during the school day.
Chess Club
Cris Collinsworth ProScan Foundation provides a Chess curriculum at Cheviot School for 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders. Students in these grades learn about the history of the game and famous chess matches that have taken place while learning to play chess. Selected students have the opportunity to participate in a chess tournament at the end of the year.
Choir
The choir is a select group of singers who mostly perform during the winter holiday season. In the past, they have performed for the Cheviot City Nativity dedication, and they also make trips to two area nursing homes for concerts. They also perform at our annual Holiday Sing-Along at school. This year they will perform a special concert at the Cincinnati Public Schools Fine Arts Showcase and will also join approximately 250 students from other CPS schools for a combined performance.
Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts
The Girl Scouts and Boys Scouts run programs seasonally with students during the school day.
Primary Glee Club
Our Primary Glee Club is open to students in grades K-2.
Intermediate Glee Club
Our Intermediate Glee Club is open to students in grades 3-6.

Two teams of students selected based on their outstanding attitude, effort and skill. Open to grades 4-6.
Boys Soccer
Two teams of students selected based on their outstanding attitude, effort and skill. Open to grades 4-6.
Girls Soccer
Two teams of students selected based on their outstanding attitude, effort and skill. Open to grades 4-6.
