Chase has a Dance Team for students in grades 4-6 that works hard to perform for families and the school.

Men Organized Respectful and Educated (M.O.R.E.)

M.O.R.E. is an after-school group for boys in grades 3-6 that is designed to strategically support and promote measurable improvements in academic achievement, promotion rates, graduation rates, and college readiness, with an emphasis on developing strong character. The content of M.O.R.E. consists of Academic Support, Social Skills Development, College & Career Awareness, Financial Literacy, and Health & Wellness. Contact Mr. Horton for more information.

Positive Girls Culture Club

Mrs. Rice’s Positive Girls Culture Club is for young girls in grades 4-6. They meet every Thursday from 2:15-4 p.m. starting in March. Their mission is to empower girls positively by promoting their self-esteem through various programs and workshops; promoting positive body image, education elevation, and moral excellence. Girls will develop self-worth and value their self-respect mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and educationally. For more information, contact Mrs. Rice.

Book Club

Are you a second or third grader who loves reading? Then Ms. Easley’s Book Club is for you. Students will read in small groups or independently to improve reading comprehension and fluency. The Book Club will also take occasional after-school field trips that align with the themes in the stories they read. For more information, contact Ms. Easley.

Literacy Circle

Ms. Buford is having a Literacy Circle for fourth through sixth graders on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30. Students will share experiences connected to literature beyond the classroom and into the community. Literature Circle is a collaborative and student-centered reading strategy. Students begin by selecting a book together, and then they are introduced to the four jobs in the Literature Circle: Discussion Director, Literacy Luminary, Vocabulary Enricher and Checker. In this way, students engage with texts and one another, taking control of their literacy in positive and rewarding ways. For information, contact Ms. Buford.

Newspaper Club

Chase's Newspaper Club publishes a monthly newspaper about academic, student and calendar highlights. The club is open to students in grades 4-6.

Tennis

Ms. Kaminsky coaches Tennis Club for third through sixth graders. Students learn the fundamentals of tennis and teamwork through stations and whole-group activities. Tennis Club runs from January through March, in the gym, from 2:30-3:30 on Thursdays. For more information, contact Ms. Kaminsky.
