Transportation for Magnet Programs

Yellow bus transportation is provided for students attending Cincinnati Public Schools' elementary magnet programs. Magnet elementary programs draw students from within an assigned area; there are two areas inside the district. Magnet programs serve either one area or the entire district (city wide).

Citywide Magnet Programs

A student enrolled in a citywide magnet program is eligible for bus transportation if the student lives more than 3/4 mile from the school.

Area Magnet Programs

A student looks out the yellow bus window.

A child's home street address determines the neighborhood school assignment, as well as the area assignment for magnet programs. Students are eligible for bus transportation if they enroll in a magnet program within their area and if they live more than 3/4 mile from the school.

To determine your magnet area:

If a student enrolls in a magnet program outside the assigned area, parents must provide transportation to and from school.
