Front Views

Architects from URS Corporation designed the new Millvale School for 450 students on 3.14 acres along Beekman Street about three blocks from the existing school.

The school’s main entrance and student drop-off area will be off Fricke Road
(an alley that will be upgraded).

Rear View

The building will present a “community face” along busy Beekman Street. A three-story classroom wing, with groups of four classrooms clustered around extended-learning areas, may be closed off to allow community use of areas such as the gymnasium and media center.

Aerial View

Patterns of different colored bricks will be built into the outside walls, an idea architects said they took from students in a Millvale art class. Tall columns of windows, starting above grade for security, and glass-enclosed stairwells will bring light into many areas of the building.
