Roll Hill School
Follow the progress as a new home for the new Roll Hill school is built at 2411 Baltimore Avenue in North Fairmount. New photos will be added regularly.

March 2005 The left photo shows the view down the stairwell from the Mechanical Equipment room. On the right, the exterior brick for the new classroom wing is being completed.
January 2005 – In the photo on the left, roof support trusses are being assembled for the new administrative area. On the right, roofing is being installed on the new gymnasium.
November 2004 – On the left, distribution conduits for the new classroom area are installed prior to pouring concrete for the second floor. On the right, iron workers attach bracing to the roof trusses in the new gymnasium.
September 2004 – In the photo on the left, workers place concrete for the floors of the administration area while on the right,  the concrete block walls for the classroom area are being constructed.
August 2004 – On the left, waterproofing and compacted stone is being placed for the sub-base of the new administration area. On the right, a finisher  prepares the final finish on the classroom floors with a power trowel machine.
June 2004 – Reinforcing cages are getting ready to be set  into the hole drilled for the deep foundations of the building. On the right, installation of the new storm sewers is beginning on the site.
May 2004 – The process of developing the new site is beginning, including raising the elevation of the old parking area to make a level site. Ironworkers are tying reinforcing bar cages for the deep foundations of the new Roll Hill Elementary school.
March 2004 – The earthwork contractor is currently working on the east side of the multi-use field preparing this location for the temporary silt basin designed for drainage during construction. In the photo on the right, the earthwork contractor is installing the geogrid and stone for the preparation of the undercut required in the building pad area.
