Search & Seizure Search and Seizure Policy
To protect the health and safety of the school community,
school administrators may conduct random and unannounced searches of lockers,
desks, and other containers or enclosures which are the property of the
Cincinnati Public School District.
The Board of Education has authorized the use of metal
detection equipment to search for contraband. Students may be required to
submit to random or systematic metal detector searches and personal searches
with reasonable suspicion.
Any student failing to cooperate with a search will be
subject to discipline under the Code of Conduct.
