Board members present: President Eileen Cooper Reed, Vice President Melanie Bates, Eve Bolton, Susan Cranley, Catherine Ingram, and Chris Nelms
Absent: Michael Flannery
Superintendent Mary Ronan and Treasurer Jonathan Boyd attended.

The Board's meeting began at 7:10 p.m. in the Education Center, the district's headquarters in Corryville.

Students from College Hill Fundamental Academy led the Board in a sung version of the Pledge of Allegiance, then Principal Barbara Gordon talked to the Board about how the school earned an Excellent rating on the 2008-09 Ohio Report Card.

Board Action

APPROVED four motions approving project schedules and detailed estimates of costs for the renovations of Mt. Washington School, Oyler School and Westwood School, and the renovation and expansion of Sayler Park School.

APPROVED a resolution authorizing the start of bidding for Bid Package No. 6 (Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning/chillers) related to the renovation of the Western Hills/Dater campus.

APPROVED a resolution authorizing the start of bidding for main bid packages for the construction of the new Woodford Paideia Academy.

ACCEPTED the report of the Board's Student Achievement Committee meeting on Oct. 12, 2009.

ACCEPTED the report of the Board's Finance Committee meeting on Oct. 14, 2009.

ACCEPTED the report of the Board's Committee of the Whole meeting on Oct. 21, 2009.

ACCEPTED the report of the Board's Policy Committee meeting on Oct. 21, 2009.

APPROVED the revised superintendent's report.

APPROVED the revised treasurer's report.

The meeting adjourned at 8:35 p.m.

The Board's next regular meeting will be 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at the district's headquarters, 2651 Burnet Avenue, Corryville. (The Board's regular meeting scheduled for Nov. 2, 2009, has been canceled.)
