Board members present: President Eileen Reed, Vice President Melanie Bates, Susan Cranley, John Gilligan, Catherine Ingram, Florence Newell and Rick Williams.
Superintendent Rosa Blackwell and Treasurer Jonathan Boyd attended.

The Board's meeting began at 7:02 p.m. in the Education Center, the district's headquarters in Corryville.

Students and families from Sands Montessori School led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance, with Principal Rita Swegman.

Board Action

APPROVED changing the name of Fairview German Language School to Fairview-Clifton German Language School when they move into their new building.

APPROVED the draft five-year forecast prepared by Treasurer Boyd.

APPROVED the superintendent's recommendations, including

ACCEPTED the report of the Board's Committee of the Whole meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, which included a status report on work stemming from the McKinsey Report.

ACCEPTED the report of the Board's Facilities Committee meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007.

ACCEPTED the report of the Board's Finance Committee meeting on Friday, Oct. 12, 2007.

ACCEPTED the report of the Board's Partnership/Public Engagement Committee meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007.

APPROVED the treasurer's report.

The meeting adjourned at 8:46 p.m.

The Board's next regular meeting will be 7 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2007, at district headquarters, 2651 Burnet Avenue, in Corryville.
