The Business Management and Administration Career Cluster prepares learners for careers in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating business functions essential to efficient and productive business operations.
The program includes business skills and techniques, an understanding of basic economics, and business attitudes essential to participate in the international marketplace as productive workers and consumers.
If a student is interested in Business, Management and Administration, there are many career options. You may provide the needed support to keep a business in operation. Or you might keep track of the expenses and income. You could manage the financial activities of a business. Another option is to be sure that a business has qualified employees who are trained to do their jobs. Or after years of education and/or experience, you might direct the operations of a business.
For students interested in this cluster, they need to focus their high-school academics around courses in math, English, marketing and business. Computer literacy is absolutely essential in this cluster.
Some entry-level jobs, such as working as a bank teller, can be entered directly from high school. In most cases, however, employers prefer to hire those who have had additional education after high school. Many jobs require a two- or four-year degree before entering this career cluster.

The Entrepreneurship program teaches students to become economically productive members of society by improving their academic, business, technology and life skills. The program offers a hands-on entrepreneurship curriculum that reinforces reading, writing and math. Young people learn to develop skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and communication, as well as decision making.
Courses are offered in such areas as advertising, market research, investing and forecasting a product's supply and demand. Students look forward to participating in local and national business-plan competitions. Students in the program also gain valuable experience through internships that are matched up with their potential qualifications and future interests.
