Roselawn Condon School
Architect: ATA Beilharz Architects
Overview

Roselawn Condon's full renovation will address the building's needs outside as well as inside to better suit the building for the the large number of students with disabilities it serves. This school was formed in 1982 with the closing of Condon School, opened in 1919 as the nation's first school designed especially for children with orthopedic disabilities.
A new main entrance facing Summit Road will allow the old entry to be reserved for students arriving in ambulances. Buses will enter at the back. A larger parking lot will support the school's additional support staff, and new soft-ground playgrounds will be located closer to the cafeteria and to the early childhood area.
Inside, classrooms and therapy spaces will be redesigned for better function. The main office will move near the new entrance, and the cafeteria and kitchen will be enlarged.
