Three Advisory Procurement Committees provide input to enhance the success of the district’s Supplier Diversity Program.

Monthly committee meetings allow vendors to hear about contract opportunities, network and exchange information, facilitate collaboration and partnering, and learn more about CPS bid procedures and criteria for bid awards.
The meetings also allow small business owners to discuss, identify and eliminate obstacles to doing business with CPS.
Quarterly, the combined committees meet to receive updates about Supplier Diversity initiatives and goals.
The advisory function began in March 2002, with a Supplier Diversity Advisory Council. In August 2003, the council was reorganized and four committees were formed. In 2004, two of the committees merged.
